This pioneer project is inspired by Sri. Sujit Guha, Sri. Barun Samadder & Sri. Soumen Banerjee. TheSeva Work wing of this global organization has a mission of rescuing individuals from the maladies of alcohol and drug addiction. The Eicha Welfare Society was formed in this light to fight against the problems of addiction by : Creating awareness. Providing effective treatment and adopting measures against relapse. Counselling to addicts and their family members. Instilling a sense of spirituality in the minds of the addicts through daily practice of Yoga and pranayam ( – a particular breathing practice after Pranayama). Devising means of social integration for recovered addicts.Widening scope to help victims of chemical abuse through larger activity and also by increasing capacity to provide help to more people. The present Alcohol & Drug De-addiction Research Center near Kolkata (India) under the aegis of Eicha Welfare Society is situated at Raspunja, Bakhra Hat Road, a quiet locale amidst the rustic ambience of rural West Bengal was chosen as the location. It is conviniently located in the 24 th Parganas district, very near to Kolkata city.

Sri. Sujit Guha is an enlightened Master and World Leader in human development who is honored by innumerable national and international bodies. He is the inspiration behind many charitable organizations around the west bengal.

Sri Sujit Guha is the founder of  EICHA WELFARE SOCIETY. The Eicha Welfare Society is now one of the world’s largest volunteer-based educational and humanitarian organizations.

EICHA WELFARE SOCIETY

The Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre is a non-profit organization dedicated to substance abuse rehabilitation and restoring personal dignity to afflicted individuals through an intensive healing programmer in conjunction with sober living facilities and a stable, loving and caring environment.

MISSION

This pioneer project is inspired by Sri Sujit Guhar, the founder of Eicha Welfare Society. The Seva Workwing of this organization has a mission of rescuing individuals from the maladies of alcohol and drug addiction by:

Creating awareness.

Providing effective treatment and adopting measures against relapse.

Counseling to chemical abuse persons and their family members.

Instilling a sense of spirituality in the minds of the addicts through daily practice of Yoga and Sudarshan Kriya (a particular breathing technique after Pranayama) along with many other activities.

Devising means of social integration for recovered addicts.

Widening scope to help victims of substance abuse through larger activity and also by increasing capacity to provide help to more people.

Campaigning against spread of HIV / AIDS.

Eicha Welfare Society, a physical, therapeutic and spiritual treatment centre, was inaugurated on 13th November, 2008, and started functioning with the objectives of:

To make recovery available for the drug addicts/alcoholics.

Achieving de-addiction and abstinence from drugs and alcohol for life.

Helping persons with substance abuse problems to develop a positive attitude to reform themselves independently.

Helping them to rehabilitate socially and for gainful employment.

Assist family members to understand the dynamics of drug and alcohol dependent individuals.

To conduct research and training to handle the problem more effectively and also to bring awareness to the community.

PACKAGES

The treatment package for 3 to 4 months programme on de-addiction and rehabilitation at the Centre provides the following:

Four nutritious meals everyday (essential for de-addiction therapy);

All medicines required for detoxification;

Sessions with highly-experienced psychiatrists;

Guidance from reputed Counselors / Psychologists;

Group and individual counseling sessions on a daily basis;

Counseling of / with family members, and formation of family support groups;

In-house doctors & nurses on 24-hour call;

Trained ward boys for round-the-clock supervision;

Games & Yogasana Sessions are on daily basis. Guidance is provided for Gym and Yoga;

Pranayam & Sudarshan Kriya®️ (Conducted by Art of Living teachers).

Special monetary considerations, entirely at the discretion of the committee can be made (for a limited number of beds) for patients with financial constraints.

Recreational facilities available in the centre for the patients:

A library with latest magazines, novels, spiritual books, NA/AA literature, general knowledge books, etc.;
